Independence Sunday, July 3, 2011

Dreams can be powerful things, particularly when it's God who gives them. Our nation was founded on a dream.  It was a dream that many of us believe was given to our founding fathers by God.

In the 2nd paragraph of the Declaration of Independence we're told of that dream:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR with certain unalienable rights. That among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

The founders of our nation believed the promise from Psalm 33:12:

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord..."

Ultimately, the hope of America is not found in the White House or the State House or in the Courthouse.  The Hope of America is found in God's House, and your house and my house!

Join us at Camino Community Church on Sunday July 3 for our annual Independence Sunday Worship in the Park.

Details: Join us for an outdoor worship service in the church park. Following the celebration, we will have a potluck lunch. The church will provide BBQ chicken and hotdogs. Members will bring delicious sides and visitors- please be our guests! As always with outdoor events, dress comfortably, bring a lawn chair, and some sun protection.
